Original Music for Screen and Contemporary Storytelling

Ben MacDougall is a composer for film, television, video games, and global media. He wrote the award-winning soundtrack for the PlayStation 5 launch title Godfall, and has composed original music for Honor of Kings, the world’s most-played mobile game, Nintendo’s Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite, and other major franchises. His bespoke work spans games, trailers, and AAA movie studio projects, with music featured across prime-time television and high-profile broadcast events.

Alongside commissioned scoring, Ben’s music licensing catalog has achieved sustained global reach, with tracks in constant rotation across broadcast television, streaming platforms, trailers, and digital media. His composition and production work has also established a growing presence in professional sports branding and broadcast, positioning him as a rising voice in the modern sports music landscape.

Ben began his musical life in symphony orchestras, immersed in classical repertoire, a foundation that continues to shape his writing. That background supports both ends of his work: large-scale orchestral and hybrid scoring for cinematic and trailer contexts, and intimate, traditional underscore built around acoustic instruments, pacing, and human storytelling.

A graduate of the Royal College of Music in London, Ben is based in Los Angeles, California.
